Are You Sociable?

Initially in the business world, social media was scoffed at with companies saying “How could it benefit my company?”. Thought of as just a forum for people to connect and discuss mutual topics of interest. Earlier models of social media were purely just to connect with old school friends or acquaintances you have just lost contact with, slowly developing so that you could eventually create your own online profile and even link up with the popular growing niche pages.

Social media took off like a rocket in the early ‘noughties’ and over time the likes of Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, muscled their way through to become some of the most used social media platforms we know today.
When businesses finally saw the potential of using social media it massively changed the ways companies worked. A lot of processes were changed, companies became more accessible, and customers could get closer and see what was going on almost instantly. Regular interaction from the company made them seem more human, and enabled them to support customers rapidly, around the clock.

Over time businesses started to notice that sharing content via social media was a quick easy way to regularly interact with a large amount of potential customers & able to create and build relationships quicker in a more informal manner. As well as this, the ability to measure success by viewing the analytic data and insights provided by each platform, helps to prevent time wasting on ineffective campaigns.
